Fall Season - October through November

With our sparkling clear weather and brilliant display of foliage, Fall is one of the most spectacular times of the year in Maine's North Western Mountains Region. It’s hard to predict the peak foliage in the region as the colors begin to change as early as September and last until the first part of October.

There are a variety of weather factors at play, you may even see a little snow on the tops of our Peaks -- you won’t be disappointed!

Don’t forget your camera for that once-in-a-lifetime photo of a moose or deer enjoying the waning days of fall.

Make your plans now to play a round of golf on GolfWeek’s #1 Course in Maine at Sugarloaf Mountain with outstanding views of the mountains and the pristine Carrabassett River.

Catch and release fly fishing is great as is hunting for some of the best wild game in Maine. Moose, whitetail deer, birds, turkeys and black bears – we have it all!

Homecoming Weekend at Sugarloaf is the official start of early Wintertime activities. With a variety of events for both adults and kids spanning the entire weekend, this is a great time to revisit the mountains, tune up your skies and start praying for snow.

Mountains of Possibilities . . . Come Play In Our Backyard!
