We are a cute little café in the western mountains of Maine…right on your way to Sugarloaf Mountain and the Route 27 Scenic Byway! We like good food, we like the earth, we like the word “ish” and we’d like you to come by and visit us!
Our breakfast menu is small but delish! We do bagels, breakfast sandwiches, burritos, organic oats, and homemade pastries. Our lunch menu includes large inventive sandwiches, salads, homemade soups, and quiche.
All our food is made with top quality (local and responsibly raised-when we can get it) ingredients and love. We make our chai, real fruit and yogurt smoothies, and hot chocolates from scratch. Locally roasted Carrabassett Coffee and Espresso is served all day.

Special occasion cakes and catering are also available!

A few comments from our customers.
"A casual funky spot: order your food at a counter, pick your table and the food is delivered to your table. An extensive list of interesting sandwiches, a generous size. The mocha freeze creation with whipped cream was great."
"We had a nice breakfast here. It's an eclectic place and the food is good. We were going for a hike and they made us a nice lunch to take on the trail."
"The atmosphere is cool, very old fashioned, felt like we were in an old lady's living room. It is a great place to stop for breakfast on the way to Sugarloaf. I had an awesome breakfast sandwich, made with local ingredients. The pastries and cookies looked yummy!"
"Excellent wraps and sandwiches made to order."

"What a wonderful place to enjoy a bite with friends. It is so comfortable, and the food is delicious! I am a vegetarian and they offer some beautiful options for vegetarians."
"I had a sweet potato corn chowder here that I can't stop thinking about it. All the bread and baked goods are made in-house. There is a focus on local, organic, and sustainable ingredients."

"The berry muffins and homemade loaves of bread are incredible. The coffee is locally roasted, like down the street local. This is not fast food, and if it's busy it's worth the wait. Made to order. Just relax in a fun and homey atmosphere. Lunch is great too, and try the chocolate chip cookie."

"Just had lunch there. Cozy atmosphere and yummy food. Had corn chowder that was fabulous for a cold day. Chia Tea and an apple fritter. Everything was incredibly delish, and the staff was great and very friendly!"
"The place is great, a lot of fantastic decorations, very atmospheric. The food and particularly the coffee are great, and the people are very friendly. A good place to start the day with a great breakfast."

"From the vibe to the food, to the decor - loved it! Happened upon the Orange Cat Cafe while making our way through Maine and chanced a stop. The building has the feeling of an old, beautiful house."
