Museum exhibits include an outstanding collection of American Indian artifacts from the United States, Canada, and South America with special focus on Maine's Abenaki Tribe. There is an impressive collection of over 600 early Maine Indian baskets and quill boxes.

The Museum gift store, which supports the Museum, has a large variety of quality, reasonably priced, genuine American Indian arts, crafts, and gifts. Many are hand made on the premises by Nowetah and her daughter Wahleyah. Shop for moccasins for the entire family, fancy dream catchers, leather goods, jewelry, spiritual items, rugs, baskets, pottery, toys, clothing, books and much more!

Abenaki-Paugussett, Indian owned/operated, the Museum was established in 1969 and was built on an early 1600 ancestral Indian site. This private family museum is free admission for all ages.

Donations are welcome since the Museum receives no federal, state or local funding.

Open all year / 7 days a week / 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
